Northeast Storytelling is looking to fill the volunteer position of Treasurer to join our Board of Directors starting January 2025.

We are seeking a dedicated individual to oversee the organization’s financial health and ensure its fiscal integrity. This is an important role, with key tasks including managing the budget, monitoring cash flow, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing regular reports for the board. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Executive Committee
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to manage and administrate the organization’s finances
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to provide periodic reports to the Board for approval
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop the annual budget and provide it to the Board for approval
  • Ensure development and Board review of financial policies and procedures
  • Be a leader in the development of financial policies
  • Shall chair the Finance Committee
  • Supervise the work of any contracted agents or staff that may assist in managing the financial affairs of the NEST
  • Collaborate with the Sharing the Fire Committee to manage the budget
  • Ensure all taxes are paid, and all financial reporting is completed on time
  • Identify and mentor candidates for the position of Treasurer

 

This is a volunteer position with no compensation.
