Karen is a storyteller, workshop leader, web researcher and directs a student storytelling troupe. She is a contributing author to the National Storytelling Networks publications A Beginner's Guide to Storytelling and Telling Stories to Children. She authors the storytelling newsletter, Catch the Storybug, and her research column, Story e Telling, appears in Storytelling Magazine. Karen performs internationally and has received the 2011 NSN Oracle Award for Service and Leadership in the Northeast and the LANES 2009 Brother Blue-Ruth Hill Award.
