Bill Harley has spent his life connecting people and groups through story and song – painting a vibrant, hilarious and moving picture of growing up and family life. Considered one of the country’s finest storytellers, he has 30 recordings to his credit, garnering two Grammy awards, and seven additional Grammy nominations, authored fifteen books, including the popular Charlie Bumpers series, earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rhode Island Committee on the Humanities “for building community; promoting our common humanity; and encouraging lifelong learning, exploring and growing” and most recently, an honorary doctorate from Hamilton College. As a workshop presenter, he has taught story structure and development to non-profit leaders, school superintendents, app developers, and third graders. His recording of songs from the Civil Rights Movement, “I’m Gonna Let It Shine”, was named a “Best Album of the Year” by Entertain ment Weekly.
Bill lives in Seekonk, MA and tours internationally as an author, performing artist, workshop leader and keynote speaker.
