Haunting Ghost Stories kick off 31th season of Corner House Storytelling Dinners on Thurs. Oct. 25!
The Corner House Inn in Center Sandwich kicks off its 31st consecutive season of Storytelling Dinners with a GHOST STORY GALA on Thursday, Oct. 25th. Five different storytellers will be on hand to tell their favorite spine-tingling stories!
Appearing will be White Mtn. storytelling favorites Ed Fayle and Andy Davis; and from central NH, popular storytellers Quinn Golden, Arthur Surette and David Hill.
Ed Fayle (whose interest in the spirit world has created a special connection with “Clarence” – the Corner House resident ghost) has been recognized as a favorite storyteller in Mount Washington Valley for over a decade.
White Mountain storyteller Andy Davis has entertained audiences as far east as Paris, as far south as Bamako, and as far west as San Diego. In addition to tales of ghouls and goblins, his varied repertoire includes tales of youthful indiscretions and footloose adventure, multicultural folktales and tales of folk background with an original twist.
A lifelong resident of New Hampshire, Quinn Golden is “dying” to be making his first Ghost Story gala appearance and lives in Alton NH with Vivian, his bride of over thirty years, Bushman the Dog and a flock of Chickens. Quinn can be found at leatherboundjourneys.com, or on Facebook at #nhstorytelling.
A born storyteller, Arthur Surette is a keen observer of nature, both human and otherwise. His original stories and songs encompass everything from politics to four-legged chickens and are a celebration of the human spirit, warts and all. He plans to share the “perfect” ghost story with us.
David Hill is a professional speaker/storyteller and a worldwide traveler specializing in remote adventure trips. His first-hand stories take you from the back woods of Maine to high adventure on the ocean and deep into the Alaskan wilderness. David will be making his first-ever Corner House appearance.
Each Corner House storytelling season begins the Thursday before Halloween, and continues on Thursday evenings through the end of May. Storytelling Dinners begin at 6:30 pm. The cost is $25 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and includes salad, entrée, glass of wine, dessert, and coffee. For reservations and more information regarding the program contact Don Brown at the Corner House Inn in Center Sandwich, NH. The phone number is 284-6219 and the email address is info@cornerhouseinn.com.
