Join in to discover and discuss the poetry, life and timeless legacy of Paul Laurence Dunbar, (1872-1906) of Dayton, Ohio. A ongoing literary and historical journey, based on Oni Lasana's "You Can Do Dunbar, Add Him To Your Repertoire" a workshop presented in 2020 by Story Crossroads and Artists Standing Strong Together, and the Brother Dunbar Poetry & Performance Workshop, published in Literacy Development in the Storytelling Classroom a Libraries Unlimited publication.
Come enjoy spoken words poetry like never before with the southern and northern vernacular of Dunbar's written words. We watch video's of Dunbarians presenting and muse on how we can include his timeless works in our storytelling work. Educators create various ways to teach students on performing Dunbar's endless subject matters that all circle back to our hearts, minds and souls.
